Colosseum Proposal (Part 2) Empty
PostSubject: Colosseum Proposal (Part 2)   Colosseum Proposal (Part 2) EmptyThu Jul 01, 2010 4:03 am

Now to the style of battle for the Colosseums.

Level 50 all: All battles should be set to level 50 all for this reason. Everyone does not use AR or PokeSav to produce their Pokemon. Some of us hatch them the old fashioned way. Level 50 all ensures a level playing field and would save time in creating new teams for the challengers as well as the trainers.

Single and Double Battles: Each Colosseum must offer either Single or Double Battles. Once a challenger chooses he/she must follow this style all the way through to the final round. In fact I propose that each trainer must have a singles and doubles team.

DS and PBR: Each Colosseum must offer DS and PBR for battles. WE don't want to limit our challengers or trainers.

Trainers: Each Colosseum should have a specific number of trainers, a semi-final trainer and a Final trainer. Each challenger must defeat all the trainers in the Colosseum to recieve the prize(prizes).

Continues: I think we should have a number of continues for each Colosseum. After using up all your continues, the challenger would have to start over. I would recommend a substantial amount of continues, but I believe this is necessary so one trainer who might be difficult to defeat won't get bogged down with the same person challenging them over and over while others are waiting.

Awards: This is the part I'm most unsure about. It was suggested that upon defeating all the trainers in a Colosseum that the challenger could dethrone the final trainer. I'm not sure I like this one. I would rather see trainer rankings awarded or special Pokemon given out as prizes. I have the cloning code and have cloned them successfully. Maybe Darkrai or Shaymin or Manaphy, Mew and so forth.

The continues are a great idea, I know if I was a challenger I would definitely need it and the prizes are a difficult subject, but I think the idea of Pokémon is good. Could they be event Pokémon or Pokémon hard to obtain or almost impossible to obtain without things like PokéSav?

Again great minds think alike. First off I don't do PokeSav, so that's not a problem. I have a few event Pokemon and as stated I can clone any Pokemon, so if anyone has an event Pokemon that I don't have I could copy it and make our prize pool bigger. Maybe each Colosseum could offer a different Pokemon as a prize OR we could let the challenger choose which Pokemon they would like before the challenge begins.
